Dinner & A Dead Gal, Session 277
August 16, 2008, 4:41 PM.

Participants: Joanne, Paul, Ursula, George, Sarah, Tom, Catherine (Tennessee), Nardine (Melbourne, Australia), Cynthia (Oklahoma), Mary (California), Marcos (New York), Will (California), Debi (California), and Rumi the cat.
We had another long session this past Saturday as eight folks joined us on the teleconference for our second Int’l. Session. We may just name this session Questions & Answers as Rose simply opened the floor for questions after a brief opening in which she coined yet another new word [1] (which is rapidly becoming a signature part of her material).
She coined the word “decine” – a combination of decide and divine as we “decide what our way of Divine intervention will be.” In other words, in what ways do we prefer to communicate directly with essence? [2]
Then she opened the floor to questions and … once again there was dead silence! To solicit questions, Rose asked us to define what our favorite things were because our “way of spirit” (or deciding what way of divine intervention we choose) consists of doing our favorite things. George, who has attended every group session since April, humorously suggested that Rose’s tests were among his favorite things, much to the amusement of everyone!
But that broke the ice, and Rose went on to remind us that, yes, she will provide tests when we approach her with an attitude that she’s an infallible source, and take every word as truth with a capital “T”. Of course, the light bulb went on in my mind as to why folks have been hesitant to initially ask questions in the last couple of weeks when Rose opened the floor. They are afraid of being tested! George should know since he is the first person, beside Joanne and I, to be tested by Rose. (For the gory details on George’s “Charlie Test,” see Session 235, April 06, 2008 and Session 239, April 26, 2008).
Marcos then braved the way and asked a question about his personal direction since moving to New York City, and wondering if he was on a detour. All of sudden, there was terrible interference on the phone line! And we all laughed because many of us knew from experience with Elias and Kris on phone sessions that sometimes our fear and anxiety get translated within energy as these kinds of noises. But Rose began to answer him and things settled down as they almost always do. The gist of her answer was that he (and we by implication) is always on our path no matter what we choose, and yet, sometimes we can take detours, and we will eventually recognize them and address to them.
George asked about some physical symptoms he experienced during the preceding week that included blurred vision, and pain in one eye. George intuited that this was an example of “conscious creation in action,” and Rose suggested that he allowed an essence communication, seeing things with new eyes and learning to sonter, or breathe in, essence. She gave him a gold star for being open to the experience, even though it caused him some anxious moments!
Catherine asked about her Aunt who felt since she was young that she should be named Wendy.
[I noted here that Rose gave her first integral answer in that she provided two main thrusts of information that spoke directly to two different worldview systems (AMBER/traditional and GREEN/postmodern) without marginalizing either!]
First, for her Aunt who is a Southern Baptist and not aware of this kind of material, Rose suggested that she refer to her Holy Book (the Bible) for help, since she may believe that her strange feelings are the work of the Devil.
Rose assured Catherine that this was not the case, and that in postmodern terms Wendy was a future focus that was bleeding through her awareness. Unfortunately, the Bible provides no updated information on future or past lifetimes, so her Aunt has a very narrow window in which to interpret her “strange feelings,” and yet Rose didn’t impose an explanation on her that she would not be ready to understand. As such, she knew that Catherine’s Aunt would find comfort in her Bible and suggesting that Wendy is an angel.
Catherine then asked about three squirrels that died outside her home earlier in the summer and their bodies made a kind of triangle around a tree. What was the message? Rose took an unusual direction and began with “imaginary ghosts” to represent subtle energies that are ever-present around us all, and that they are not to be feared.
[In hindsight, it may have been Rose’s way to help Catherine to not fear altered states or other unusual energies that may physically express themselves as the shift progresses. I had several dreams Sunday and Monday morning about “imaginary ghosts” that I recorded but have yet to detail in my dream journal. But it’s an interesting side effect of how an answer to someone else’s question can influence another person.]
Rose also went into the fear of death (something we all have) and the squirrels helped her deal with that inevitability.
I asked a follow-up to Catherine’s question about OOBs in the previous D&DG (session 272) to see if she had any results from trying Rose’s projection technique (transferring conscious awareness into a dream body while falling asleep). Catherine mentioned that she had been in work mode since we last spoke and didn’t get any results.
[Ironically, this piqued my curiosity and I managed to have several lucid dreams Sunday and Monday mornings using that transference technique. It’s most effective for me in the 3-6 AM sleep cycles, having already gotten some deep sleep and allowing my awareness to be more awake as I fall back asleep after going to the bathroom, or in one case, just changing positions, waking up and maintaining awareness of the previous dreamscape and as I fell back in, transferring awareness into a lucid dream body. Cool stuff!]
Next, Tom asked a great question based on Rose’s opening riff. He asked what her definition of Divine is. Rose offered a long explanation, and I asked a couple of follow up questions that further expanded things. The fifteen minute exchange became this week’s Podcast and you can listen to it by clicking on the icon. (We publish a Podcast of a pithy Rose excerpt every Monday after a group session. You will also find this icon in the transcripts now.)
This exchange took us to our break at 5:49 PM. Jo and I talked on the phone line for a bit and answered questions while munching on dinner. Dinner consisted of havarti-dill cheese and crackers, sliced pork sausages, ham with bread, a peanut noodle dish, pasta salad, and mixed fruit all washed down with the usual assortment of wines, water, and iced-tea.
We resumed at 6:17 PM. The second half started with George’s daughter, Sarah, resting-ON-Rose, as he joked. She was snuggled up to JoRose and listened as the group engaged the second half.
Rose explained that the way of spirit allows our sensory experience to bring us satisfaction along with realization of essence in our days, a poetic description of learning to realize more deeply how essence communicates in various ways that include our sensory experiences.
Rather than detail the second half, I’ll just add some highlights, because the whole session will be available as a transcript in a couple of weeks thanks to Nardine in Australia!
Marcos mentioned dreams with deep sadness, longing, and melancholy over the years, but over time he’s come to realize that there is deep fulfillment via essence. Rose mentioned that suffering is part of what makes us human, and there’s even a beauty to it at times. The way of spirit calls on us to suffer sometimes, but again, the point is to learn to avoid and end suffering in all cases.
[In other words, there’s nothing overtly spiritual about suffering, and it doesn’t make us more spiritual because we have a cross to bear. That’s a leftover from the traditional worldview value system – that suffering makes us closer to God – but our postmodern worldview understands that suffering may lead to great fulfillment only once we understand how we create it, learn to take full responsibility for all our creations, good and bad.]
Marcos also said he came to further understand Seth’s idea of value fulfillment more deeply in that it allows for great suffering, but focuses on fun, joy, and pleasure.
[Marcos is right on target. We need to include the shadows and the light, and not repress them because they’ll always come back to bite us in the ass big time! Only through learning about the nature of suffering through our own foibles, mistakes, and detours do we come to understand how we create the good and bad, darkness and the light, pleasure and pain. Only then can we bring deeper awareness and acceptance to our joy and suffering as they never go away. Marginalizing or repressing the bad with New Age “feel good,” “in the light,” etc., kind of sentiments only makes our suffering that much worse.]
George mentioned that Elias describes his energy as being represented by blue dots or blue imagery. So then, “what color is Rose?” Rose said that we connect with her energy when we feel good, senxy, in subjective ways, and with our mirth (deep sense of humor and joy)! She also communicates through birds.
Rose emphasized that we connect with her in a fealing-tone that is blissful. I pointed out that I do experience Elias’ energy as blue dots mostly, but that I experience Rose’s energy as a blanket of pink and sometimes magenta that just permeates my awareness during meditation or resting-in-Rose (a kind of savikalpa or subtle realm samadhi).
Rose confirmed that this was indeed one way to experience her energy, but that it was still included in the more general definition she gave previously. In other words, she doesn’t want people to identify her fealing-tone with only a color.
I also mentioned that Elias associated Rose as a Sumafi essence representing Borledim in his game that taught us about interpreting impressions (another form of essence communication). So I’ve had a pink color associated with her energy for eleven years now, and while that may be a self-fulfilling manifestation, it still is how I create a color exchange with Rose’s energy (I have also begun dreaming of her as a wise woman archetype in the past year).
Mary asked Rose to provide her with an essence family belonging-to and aligning-with, and Rose suggested they read the information on our websites to get impressions. When I told Mary I’d send her the links after the session by email, she said she had already read them! So I asked her what her impressions were, and she mostly strongly identified with Sumari, and a little bit with Vold. My immediate impression was that she was a double Sumari (who by definition tend to reject ALL typologies by nature as Seth pointed out in the original information, which I find humorous and ironic!).
Rose confirmed then that she was indeed a double Sumari (just like Jane Roberts, so she’s in good company!) I also thought it no accident that Mary lived in a progressive, artistic city like San Francisco! Too funny, and interesting that Rose tested her, by not giving her any info right off the bat, but only after Mary offered her own impressions. Then Rose was right there to clarify them.
The session ended at 7:27 PM, close to two and half hours once again! Nardine said she’d work on the transcript right away so that we can publish in the next week or so, and make it available as more folks are getting interested in the Rose sessions.
Also, Sarah had fallen asleep on Joanne’s shoulder during the second half. It was very cute and I was pleased that she was comfy enough with JoRose’s energy to sleep soundly. When she woke up, her father, George, teased her that she had been snoring and drooling, much to her chagrin! But we all quickly chimed in a reassured her that she slept more like an angel than anything else. We do enjoy the presence of child at our sessions!
Finally, Tom brought a dozen lovely red roses. I put them in a vase next to JoRose, and they were a nice addition to our décor. We sat around with full bellies, and discussed the session and other topics until around 9:30 PM. when Jo and I turned into pumpkins. Our company left us until the next Dinner & A Dead Gal on Labor Day weekend.
Endnotes
[1] Paul’s note: For more info on Rose’s new words, see The Rose Glossary.
[2] Paul’s note: Elias has provided detailed information on how essence (subjective awareness) communicates directly with us (objective awareness). Rose has begun by helping people connect with their intent and purpose, since that foundation helps people communicate more directly with essence. For example, since we each have a unique intent and purpose in life, we will tend to emphasize certain avenues of communication over others. Someone may be a natural lucid dreamer, or get information in reverie via imagination, or learn to read their emotions to great detail, use muscle testing, pendulums, Ouija boards, autotype, voice channel and on and on. So it is now clearer that Rose is building off of Elias’ information as well, but with her unique approach.
Thus far, Elias has included dream imagery, emotions, physical senses (vision, hearing, taste, touch, and smell), inner senses (empathic, conceptual, differential time), impulses, impressions, physical body expressions (symptoms of dis-ease), language, intuitions (another term for inner senses and dreams), and imagination as avenues of essence communication. In other words, learning to master these avenues will help us connect more directly with our essence, and when coupled with knowing fully our intent and purpose in life, to better follow our way of spirit and live more fulfilled lives.
