Subject: Remote Viewing Exercise!
Let’s try a Remote Viewing Exercise similar to what Jane and her ESP Class used to do.
I was just reading Session 84 in “The Early Sessions” and Seth interrupted his lecture to say that Jane was blocking a spontaneous clairvoyant image of a friend who was in an argument with other people in somebody’s kitchen.
Seth went on to say that clairvoyant episodes always involve an emotional “sympathy” or association that may not be immediately evident.
Love him or hate him or don’t quite know what to do with him, we are all here because of an emotional bond that we have developed with good old Seth and his material.
So, I have placed an object on top of a copy of “Seth Speaks” and I invite you all to use your psychic powers to identify the object.
Actually, the object is on top of ALL my Seth books that are sitting in a pile waiting for a new bookcase to materialize.
Here is the way past Rem Vu’s have worked:
I have written a description of the target and saved it in an e-mail draft.
Each of you use your favorite method of divination to identify the target and send me a PRIVATE e-mail so you won’t bias others who want to play and tell me what you see:

I am fascinated by the responses to the Remote Viewing Exercise. I return to the pile of Seth books with the target every time a response arrives and look at the area with new eyes. Some of you have named the target and some of you have described characteristics of the target but not named it specifically. Responses that seemed way off when I first read them often make perfect sense when I look at the end of the room the target occupies. Some of you are clearly drawn to objects physically close to the target but not the target. I am not referring to my pile of Seth books; I am referring to household objects and personal possessions that you have NO way of knowing are physically near the target (Less than three feet from the target and in plain view). Some of you are drawn to the same object close to the target; in one case, THREE of you have described the same personal possession near the target. (And none of you have been in my house!) Is Person B picking up Person A’s image and then is Person C picking up the same image from A and/or B? When I post the results on Sunday, April 9, I hope the participants will talk about the personal affinities that may have drawn them telepathically to the objects they described. I would like to thank the 19 people who sent 21 responses to the Remote Viewing Exercise. We had two direct hits: One person named the target and another identified the color. Many others hit household objects or personal belongings sitting on the same dresser as the target or in plain view within three feet of the target. Many of those “nearby” hits correlated with each other. The target is an unopened package of Dunhill cigarettes. The cigarettes were given to me by a colleague at work, V D-R, who received them as a gift from her brother while she was visitng family in Israel. The package is stiff red and gold cardboard wrapped in cellophane and measures 3 3/4” wide, 3 7/8” high and 5/8” deep. The front of the package is red trimmed in gold with gold type and reads: FILTER DE LUXE
The other sides of the package are gold with red type. The top reads: DUNHILL INTERNATIONAL The bottom reads: DUNHILL

Hi Frank, Everyone Apparently my mail didn’t make it to you. Anyhow I sensed an apple symbol. And now I see it describes the cigarettes from a believes point of view. Like the garden of eden apple: something that tastes and is good but isn’t supposed to be good for you. Is that your believe? :-) Both are grown products of the Earth too. And then I sensed a color red which matches with that of the box side. And I read now Andrea’s post where she mentions sensing an apple too. And Big Apple, yes that’s another fine meaning in the multidimentional symbology of things. Interesting synch on the apple here too is that both our posts didn’t get through :-) And the color red would have here another meaning too as in the red or stop light. Also I sensed something made of like yellowy paled straw thing. Well, the color of tobacco. I thought then of it being a thathed or weaved thing like a mat. The common element here is of dried plant leaves. The thathed Polynesian roofs that I thought of are made of palm leafs and cigs are made of tobacco leafs. Sits on ’Seth Speaks’, purple cover.” I don’t think I have anything that links to a quartz crystal but you do seem to link with John V: “For some reason I see multi-sided, pointy, point on top ... hunk of pyrite maybe?(Thats’ fools gold) five sided ...” Jan2 continues: “On top of old dresser/bureau with lace/doily on dresser. This ashtray is an unusual piece of ceramics. It can probably be best described as “bulbous” in shape. It is small, squat and round with a flared neck on top that is fluted to hold three cigarettes. The piece is white but covered with a blue and green pattern and trimmed in gold. And, of course, an ashtray links up with the cigarettes that were the intended target. Because I see two different things.” “If it is new seth speaks, it is a purplish glass paperweight or an inkwell of some sort.” “If it is old seth speaks, it is a long black item, like a heavy fountain pen or a long black canister of some sort.” It is the pink, purple and orange 1987 Prentice Hall edition. DRxDON comments on the number of people who reported “seeing” an apple during the Rem Vu: “Aside from possible tuning into another time, what about just tuning into a different level of your own awareness, not being ’remote viewing’ at all, in the traditional sense, but more of an ESP ’mind reading’ phenomenon?...” We never did define “remote viewing,” in the traditional sense or in the Sethian sense, before beginning the exercise. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, you don’t know if you have found it. Don continues: “Also, what if I, Andrea, Annie, and Ram had some kind of ’psychic confluence’ and were all tuning into each other’s perception? Clearly *something* is going on, but I think if you want to do an experiment to hone in on a *specific* inner sense then more ’controls’ are probably in order to narrow the psychic focus a bit. For example, when I first read your RV post, I had a quick flash of an apple. I usually go with my first impulse, but again, this might have just been a flash to a different level of your awareness. Some other ’guidelines’ might be given to create more of a ’beam’ of perception to a given task.” I am chuckling to myself and wondering if the “findings” of every experiment already exist in the mind of the “principal investigator” who designed the experiment and then proceeds to feed the “data” to the “research subjects” telepathically. In addition to my personal association of “apple” and “remote viewing,” I also EXPECTED the participants to identify close-by objects other than the target. I also wonder about a tie-in with a writing project Jane teases about in a couple of her books but never followed through with: The Contents of the Conscious Mind. Jane seemed to be developing a theory in her later years that all information was already available in the conscious mind if one knew how to look for it. (Yo, Mary Dillman up in New Haven! Any manuscripts in the Yale archives with a working title like, “Contents of the Conscious Mind?”) This idea would also tie in with or discussions about boundaries: If there truly are no boundaries or separations to the Self, then we would all share a “common mind” whose contents would be available to each of us. Your interpretations reflect a wonderful understanding of how broad our abilities really are, not just a black and white, right/wrong on the hits, but all sorts of connections. I even liked Billie’s suggestion that some of us were tuning into a past, probable rem vu that you did. You never know what you’re connecting with sometimes, but there’s always a deeper explanation and interpretation. I just got a sense of something made out of red clay. Like a native american type sculpture. Hard, baked red clay. That’s all.
YOU WERE IN THE BACK YARD. MY HOUSEMATES AND I DID A LOT OF DIGGING SATURDAY AND WE HAD A BIG DISCUSION ABOUT HOW TO AMEND THE SOIL FOR GARDENING. IT IS ALL RED CLAY. YOU ALSO MIGHT BE PICKING UP THE COLORS IN A MORRIS LOUIS POSTER LEANING AGAINST THE DRESSER.
