Miss Blake Interviews Adrian Corbeth

MB:Greetings Adrian, what is it like in the land of Rembrandt at the moment?

On this moment here in Holland people are worried
and upset because our ministry wants to rise the age of early retirement from 60 to 65 I think.

Last Thursday there was a strike, and we did not have this for many years. Holland you can consider as one big holiday camp. So the free time industry is booming.

MB:When you first came across the seth material was it a Dutch translation? I know you to be bi lingual, but do you read Seth in the Dutch or the English? Do the concepts come across clearly? Are any of the books still waiting to be translated ?

In 1980 my wife came home from work and she told me she had contacted dead people with the ouija board. That triggered me and my wife with the question: what happens when you die? So we started reading books about physics of any kind.

For me there was no complete story, they were all right, but I did miss an overview. I do remember when I was in my bookstore, I took Seth speaks (Dutch version) in my hand and my first reaction was: oh no not again a psychic !!!

Few weeks later I took it again and I bought Seth speaks, and my whole world changed from that moment. The first 11 books were very well translated in Dutch. I do own 9, the Seth Material I do have in English. As far as I know there are no Seth books which are being translated now.

The only book you can buy in the bookstore in Dutch is Seth speaks. I still dream in Dutch and besides my contacts on the net I do not speak or read English. So I prefer to read books in Dutch.

MB: Is there a vibrant Seth reader community anywhere in Holland ? Have you seen any changes over the years?

In 1980 there was a group named the Pyramid. They held courses in Portugal. After a terrible airplane crash in Portugal, where some of them where involved they split up. Now we have a Dutch Sethgroup on the net. The group did awake after a long sleep, and we welcomed 4 new members. So we are alive and kicking.

MB: Do you have a favorite Seth or Jane book? If so which is this?

The nature of personal reality is published in dutch in 2 parts. The second part is my favourite, it is called: "Yur Body,Your Life." The book starts with session 638. What is written in this book is for me what it is all about.

MB: Many people, have challenges incorporating YCYOR and the belief work that goes into changing the things that are no longer desired, have you encountered this? What has been your solution?

In my life I have had many challenges to incorporate YCYOR. A few years ago I started with to change my habits off sleeping. In the beginning it was very hard, I almost was involved in a car accident, so I did stop for a while. Now I do sleep 4 to 6 hours without using an alarm.

When I divorced my wife I gave everything that we owned to her. I did think: well I create some other and so I did. A few weeks ago I did wish somebody from the Dutch Sethgroup who left last year could be a member again. I left the thought for what it was; yesterday she became member again.

I can go on and on so many things I did create deliberate. It become a part of my life so much that I even do not notice anymore I deliberate create my reality.

MB:Do you have any Seth material compatible authors
that you also read?

I love to read Abe/Hicks quotes. I did order: Ask And It Is Given by Abraham/Hicks.

MB:You are an artist, what is your medium, how did you come to your artistic choices...are you thinking of going professional? What do you love most about what you do?

I am a photographer, I work by intuition, feelings. I did start to be a photographer last year in January at the same time I did try to change my beliefs about money.

It almost did broke me up, so as I did with my sleeping habits I leave it for a while. To be a professional photographer is not a desire anymore. The only thing I want is to take pictures. Picture of happy people around me. Pictures of beautiful buildings which surprise me Pictures like what I called a spider with ambition.

Click here for full sized image.

MB: You go into a fancy food store, you have $200 to spend, you have four people coming to dinner...who are these four people (personalities from any point in history alive or 'dead') and what are you going to buy for dinner?

1 my father, who died when I was 8.
2 my mother who died when I was 12
3 my brother who died at the age of 25
4 my sister who died at the age of 3

I don't feel sorry It took me a half time of my life to get rid of my feelings of being pathetic. Remember it is my life which I have chosen. I am not much of a cook, I love going out to dinner, I do like the French kitchen very much. What I do eat does not interest me, it is just the taste, but don't ask me what it is called, or how to prepare it. Other people can do this much better then me, so I would take them to one of my favourite restaurant which is called Zinc. The owner is a very good cook.

MB: Adrian its been a real pleasure talking to you and thank you for your time and your openness.

Dreams of the Borg Queen
by Cain

You wake in isolation and sleep in the company of generations. The web widens by day. The spun silk of imagination quivers under the strain of trespass of other species; those who walk here not of our time or body, but who share this space of open vista and stars. I feel their blood pouring, unspilt, still purer than a thought. And I feel the responsibility of each life within me, who is part of my willed definition.

In sleep, the whole dissolves into the myriad, the complexities of shattered glass. I open my eyes to see flesh decaying the self I was for a moment before a flake of snow turned in the air and fell over the world, turning back to origin in the endless ancestry of part from part.

To close my heavy worn eyes is to heal the split of a cavern, the glass to move across the table top and break open its water into flow. I am the queen of images who kneel to my expression; the mouth who breathes your oxygen. I am the body of you.

The Ongoing ESP Experiments by John McNally

In Chapter 3 of "Conversations with Seth Vol I" by Sue Watkins, Sue describes the ESP door experiments which Jane conducted. Every day, Jane would place a piece of paper or a small object in an envelope that was taped to the door, the class members would then record their impressions of the objects and bring them to class the following week.

This experiment has remained popular among Seth groups over the years, popping up every few months. Its fun and easy to do, and when you get a hit, there's a real thrill of having connected momentarily to those ever elusive "psychic abilities."

Exactly what sort of psychic abilities are being employed is uncertain. Are the participants using remote viewing to "see" the object or are they using telepathy to read the mind of the person running the experiment?

I theorized that both could be true, and that it depended upon the individual making the guess and the abilities they were just naturally more drawn to. I tested my theory off list with Dan Scranton one day. Dan had been playing the "Door Experiment" game for a while on the list, but hadn't had any direct hits.

I suggested a variation in which I would hold the object in my hands and concentrate on it while he made his guess. This was not as easy to coordinate as you would think in the age of instant emails, but we got it together fairly quickly. The first couple of guesses were close, but not direct hits. There was a color match on one and a similar shape on another. The third guess though went like this:

Dan: Is it a doll of some kind?

Me: It was a wizard figurine!!!! I call that a direct hit!

For Dan at least, the telepathic factor seemed to be an important one. The details of daily life sidelined our experiments a bit, but Dan started them up again on the list recently. I decided to host an experiment again, putting an item on my computer monitor, but this time I concentrated on it for several seconds, sending out those telepathic messages to anyone that was listening.

The results were remarkably better than our usual attempts. Dan, once again got a hit, and another list member Stefani had a pretty close guess as well:

>Stefani saw:

> Hi John
> I get arrows moving from left to right in a continuous cycle.
> Stefani

Dan prognosticated:

> My guess is...a little red ball-shaped creature with googly eyes,
> long arms, and long legs!
>
> xxxooo,
>
> -Dan

Hey Dan and Stefani,

The object was the Page of Swords card from the Karma Tarot deck.
Dan's description was pretty close except for the color, and perhaps
the googly eyes were the Page's breasts?

There is a lot of movent in the card, and the arms, legs and swords

are sort of arrow like. I'm scanning the card in and posting it to
the web so you can see it for yourselves:

Anjha also had a close guess:

>
> John, I see a picture of your son, in a baseball uniform.

>
> Love, Anjha

Both the card and a photograph are rectangular and two dimensional representations. To see an image of the tarot card, Click here.

I believe that my focusing on the card gave it more energy and made it easier for the participants to "tune in" on it. While I realize these tests are far from scientific, I do feel they serve an important purpose by helping us use and expand our inner senses.

Anyone who is interested in joining these experiments simply has to subscribe to Sethnet and post a query to the list about starting an experiment, I guarantee you'll always find takers.

Waving to My Self
by Dan Scranton

As I peer into the night
I see familiar faces
The stars and moon and planets too
Are mirrors fit for gazing

They whisper thoughts I have not known
And sell me on their merit
They wave to me, and I wave back
A moment, now we've shared it

And as they wonder, "What of him?"
They start with their reflections
The search for planets is renewed
With dogged introspection

I have my many Shadow Selves
And lord knows they know me
Tonight I met the other ones
As sunlight set them free

Review: What the Bleep Do We Know
by Paul Helfrich

Note: This is an excerpt from the New World View Discussion Forum. A link to the entire review is at the bottom of the review.

In a year that saw Mel Gibson's orthodox remake of The Passion rake in hundreds of millions of dollars, What the Bleep? is unusual because films that seriously explore science and spirituality are rarely a financial success. According to Elaine Dutka of the LA Times, "What the Bleep?", produced for $5 million, has grossed over $4.4 million since its February premiere, and stands to gross between $15-30 million through advertising to niche audiences such as "yoga studios; health food stores; and members of Cultural Creatives, an international group devoted to self-actualization, as well as the Unity Church and the Church of Religious Science."

There are other unusual features to this film besides its marketing. It used three directors - William Arntz, Betsy Chasse, Mark Vincente - along with a format more often found in documentary style on PBS, or the Discovery and Learning Channels. There are 14 "experts" - a Greek chorus of talking heads in fields ranging from physics, to theology, neurochemistry, molecular biology, anesthesiology, and metaphysics - who comment on the storyline.

The film's main character, Amanda, played by Marlee Matlin, experiences a day in her life as a photographer. She contends with everyday relationship issues with her roommate, estranged husband, lecherous boss, and on-location clients. Around this action is an ongoing narrative by the experts who paint a postmodern tapestry that weaves through various theories about human behavior, its motivations, and causes.

Through an integral lens, the film's center of gravity hovers primarily around the GREEN, postmodern worldview. But the quantum science, of necessity watered down for general public consumption, is hardly new. In fact, its roots are almost a hundred years old. So the claims of quantum science being the "new paradigm" lean more toward what Ken Wilber calls "boomeritis": the latest "new paradigm" who's promise is nothing short of radically changing the entire world, when upon closer inspection, it inevitably falls short. Put another way, while quantum insights transcend and include those of the preceding ORANGE, modern Newtonian worldview, they still don't include a viable theory of consciousness. Thus, quantum mystics often reduce consciousness to objects, neuro-chemicals, or counter-intuitive quantum processes "out there."

For the Equation, Find the Value of X
By Kevin Killough

X declared, with no certain ambiguity,
that from this day forward it would
be its own definition. X will no longer
yield to what ever value your whims
place upon it. X refuses to be
quantified.

The variable formally known as X,
without any legal authority, changed
its name to an unpronounceable symbol.
Somewhere in that empty space
between the equation and the solution that
is filled with the equal sign, absolute and
unquestionable, X said "no" and ran amuck.
Attempts to subdue the joyously disgruntled
inconstant were unsuccessful.

Scientists contended that their work would
continue despite today's events. The universe
would be as predictable as it ever was, they assured us.
Meanwhile, priests condemned X to hell,
declaring its actions a sure sign that Armageddon is
upon us and begged everyone to ignore X's
salacious instigations of rebellion.

The variable C, briefly known as L,
denied ever even knowing X.
"I'm content being squared," said C.
M is seeking therapy. E, on the other hand,
could not be reached for comment, and as the
corporeal world unravels at a molecular level, we
suspect E has been corrupted by X.

X then spent a year in Arizona with a group of Navajos,
eating peyote buttons and being chased in the moonlight
by demons in smocks past scarecrow cacti. X wondered
the wind battered mountains of Tibet in search of wisdom.
X experimented with trepanation,
made peace with its estranged brother Y,
had a homosexual experience,
dug in garbage cans on the streets of LA,
crossed the Amazon basin by canoe,
And never cared whether God or anyone approved.

The variable formally known as X, now lives without regret
in complete anonymity in the canyons of Sedona where it
teaches to a handful of students from all walks of life
that their lives are the product of individually designed
equations, and that it's the challenges we seek and not
the solutions we find that define who we are.

You Cause What Affects You.
An Exercise in Self-Empowerment

By Story Waters
Author of 'The Messiah Seed'

One of the greatest unchallenged assumptions in this world is contained in the idea of linear cause of effect. When asked how we are feeling the standard response is a single word like 'good', 'bad', or 'stressed' followed by a list of external events that have happened to cause our mood.

For example, "I feel great! I just got a pay rise and I'm just about to go out with my friends to celebrate." Or if things aren't going so well maybe something like, "I'm stressed! My computer just crashed and now it won't start." At first glance these statements seem self-explanatory. Nice things put us in a good mood and bad things make us miserable. It seems obvious. That's just how life is! Isn't it? ?

Well if you don't mind viewing yourself as being like a leaf buffeted about by the winds of fate, at the mercy of your outer circumstances then I think that is indeed exactly how life can feel. However if you are open to re-evaluating your idea of cause and effect I would like to offer you a different view of yourself and the world you live in. I offer it merely as a perspective for you to try on like pair of shoes. The only point in keeping them on after you have considered them is if they empower yourbeing. As ever please just take what resonates and leave the rest.

The Exercise
The idea is really very simple. For as long a period as you like, maybe a day, a week, or a month, instead of seeing the events of your life as external triggers that cause your emotional reaction, whether that be a positive or negative feeling, choose to see them as your spirit reflecting your energetic state to you.

For example, if something happens that makes you feel angry, instead of seeing the event as causing your anger, try on the perspective that you must have been carrying anger that you wanted to release. See the event as giving you a catalyst to experience, process, and release that anger. Here's a real world example. Another driver cuts you up, forcing you to slam on the brakes. Anger bursts out of you as you yell obscenities at them. Once your initial spontaneous burst of emotion has passed take a moment to Self-reflect and try the exercise. Let in the idea that something previous to the incident had built up anger in you and that you brought yourself to the event in order to allow the release of that pent up emotion. So in fact, the other driver was co-creating with you an event that was not only with your permission but to your benefit. Look inside for the source of the anger and see if you can locate who or what you really feel like yelling at. The very words you yelled may even give you a clue.

Remember also to apply the exercise to positive events. If you are walking along and the wind blows a $100 bill by your foot, instead of just seeing it a random chance event, take a moment to acknowledge it as a reflection of your energy and how you are feeling. Feel yourself in the joy of the event. Take ownership of the good thing happening. Rather than seeing the money as being from some external God who has judged you to be worthy of a reward (thereby externalizing the power of the gift as something out of your control), see that you are gifting yourself. Realize that the event has manifested from your own energy and the Universe is merely reflecting that without any judgment, agenda, or distortion. Just like with the car incident. This is to see yourself as the source of the creation of the events in your life. God isn't up there deciding what happens to you. You are God creating the events of your life.

This exercise can therefore be seen to be somewhat of a double edged sword. In order to fully feel the joy in the realization that you, your love, your abundance, your energy, are behind the good things happening, you must also accept that your shame, anger, and pain are behind the seemingly bad. And please understand that I am only using the terms good and bad in terms of how we perceptually experience the events. Within the exercise lies the realization that the so called 'bad' events aren't bad at all but are in fact tools to help us release pain and fear that we are carrying.

My hope is that through this exercise people will be able to maximize the release and learning that they get from the difficult events in their life therefore reducing their frequency and severity. Also when you learn more from joy then you move to a reality of more and more experiences that are joyful. For myself I have found that by applying this technique the severity of difficult events has lessened. When you take the learning/growth from a smaller incident the bigger incident is not required, as opposed to the energetic reflection building up and up until the unresolved anger builds up to something like a fully fledged car accident.

The real gift of this exercise, beyond being a great tool for learning about the energy that you are putting out, is in the taking or responsibility for your own reality. If taken on fully there is no room for victim mentality. Taking responsibility in this way can be painful at first as we are stripped of the ability to conveniently blame others, but ultimately it contains the greatest lessons of Self-empowerment as we transform from the leaf being blown about by the wind, to being the experience not only of the leaf but of the wind itself.

About the Author

Story Waters is a spiritual author seeking to empower people to discover and follow the light of their own being. Through his writing, rather than seeking to give people just another spiritual framework of 'how things are', he looks to bring out his reader's inner magical divine Self in all of its glory. He seeks for his readers to connect with, trust in, and follow their own spirit above any external person, organization, religion or dogma. As he writes in his first book The Messiah Seed Volume I? "If you experience transformation through this book, know it is of your own doing. These Messiah Seeds simply create a space for your choice, your empowerment, and your change." Story hopes to inspire people to develop and follow their own inner voice, and to love and completely accept their own being.

Story has adopted the term 'limitlessness' to describe the state of being where our spirits naturally reside. So rather than encouraging readers to become 'more than they are' he empowers them to realize 'All That They Already Are' by freeing the Self from the limited beliefs that it has taken on in forms such as fear and lack of Self-worth. In Story's eyes we are all uniquely special expressions of God and if we must seek a purpose to life then it is to step into the power of that realization and live in the joy that is our being and to share that joy with the world.

Whilst expressing the unity of all life, Story also asks us to embrace our own uniqueness including our perceived imperfections. "Know your imperfection by realizing that it is perfection. Know you are perfectly you, and that you are perfect." By simultaneously experiencing our unity and individuality Story sees the world transforming into a Unified Diversity - the expression of Heaven/Limitlessness on Earth. Love is seen as the natural state that occurs when we let go of our fears. As Story says, "The time is now. Awaken and speak your dream. I greet you dearest one, as the Messiah that you are."

Review: The Colorado Seth Conference by Lealonie

Hi All,

For those of you that are interested, here is a personal account of my experiences/reflections of the one and only Seth conference I've ever attended.

Going into this, I had few expectations and great anticipation. As the location is/was set in beautiful Winter Park, Colorado, the scenery/setting was gorgeous. The first major snow-fall of the season hit the day before Ronnie and I arrived. The elevation of Winter Park is in the neighborhood of 9100' (whew!). As we were driving up and up and up it started to snow. The queer thing about this was that the snow seemed less like it was falling and more like we were running into the flakes! During the conference the weather ran from full sunshine, to snow, to rain, and back all within a 10 minute period! On the same note, the aspens were glorious - reds, oranges, yellows, golds - making a wonderful contrast against the tall green pines.

The conference, entitled "Exploring the Magical Universe," began on Wednesday and there was a full schedule of presenters (6 - 10 a day!) from the very start. Several times two presentations were going at the same time. No way to catch them all - and, after the first day, I didn't even try to catch the 6 a day that I could have - me butt hurt from all that sitting!

As far as the presentations went, there was something for everybody! Physics came into play on several. This gave me a good feeling as physics and metaphysics are so close to coming together - perhaps even in the scientific community? The current indications are that science is discovering their current scientific model isn't working - consciousness (C) will NOT be ignored! *smile*

The presenters were (alphabetically): Dr. Alexander "Sandy" Astin (Tuning Into The Magic of Your Own Being - with A. Hauck) Laurelyn Baker (Feng Shui) Dr. Ron Bryan (physics - how the human consciousness can interact w/electron's consciousness) Mark Comings (physicist, mathematician & mystic) Laura Davis (Magic is all around us) Mary Dillman (expert at the Seth Archives at Yale University) Andy Dooley (Point of Power) Charles "Andy" Hauck (member of Jane's ESP class) Simeon Hein, Ph.D. (explored the nature of time, technology, information, and communication - also remote viewing!) Chris Johnson (Harry's son - psychologist - "energy psychology") Harry Johnson (Grand Pooh-Bah of Seth Conferences) Bettie Kielty (Personal Magic) Frank Kollins (chiropractor and metaphysician) Andy Maleta (Himalayan Doctors - Tibetan Medicine at the grassroots) Linnaea Marvel (channels Myriad) Don Middendorf (teaches physics w/a Sethian flare - Can there be a magical science?) Kerstin Sjoquist (The Magical Imagination) Dr. Helen Stewart (fantastic speaker! - "A dog's eye view of the magician universe-obedience training for the multisensory pioneers) Dr. Helen Walker (pioneer in the metaphysical community - Your Magical Universe Awaits You) Nancy Walker (Helen's daughter and a powerful speaker - Building everyday magic) Melinda Walsh (Making it up as you go along-Your life as a conscious improvisation)

There were many practical applications used by most of the presenters for living the metaphysical life!

One of the more exciting things about this Seth Conference was the ability to meet folks I've read/met in cyberspace! Stefani Schram (quiet strength), Linnaea Marvell (channels), Joe Webb (with the beautiful eyes!), and Bill Kennedy (whata hoot!!) - all I found to be warm and communicative folks!

I won't take up much more space except to add that the decorations were dazzling, the food was good & plentiful, the bookstore was delightful, the break rooms were used and used some more (after all, there was food there! ), the accommodations were comfortable, and the conversations were in-depth and interesting.

I came away from the conference renewed, refreshed and encouraged.

Lovingly,

Lealonie

The Seth Journal is Looking for a New Home

"We are also looking for a capable individual(s) who would be able to continue taking care of The Seth Journal and possibly taking it to the next level. Our schedule has become increasingly demanding and thus our time is more and more precious.

Of course, we would certainly be able to provide some guidance and assistance for a short period of time. The successful candidate(s) would ideally be well plugged into the Seth community at large in some way, as well as have some desktop publishing experience (we can assist here too) and some website application and maintenance knowledge.

Presently, The Seth Journal is produced entirely at home on a PC with Adobe InDesign CS (Layout application) (but it can also be saved in InDesign 2? the previous version), and we use a high quality inkjet printer for the color cover (card stock paper) and a laser printer for the body (super white regular stock paper). We only take it to a print shop to get each copy folded, stitched (stapled) and cropped (trimmed). Make no mistake, at the moment it only maintains itself, but with more time and resources, it could very well provide more income.

We also create the PDF version for the website with Acrobat Distiller using a slightly different format than the hardcopy issues- but there are also other similar and less expensive applications that will do as well. Of course, the website would also be transferred along with the magazine and all templates for both hard copy and web version, as well as all website templates.

If you have such an interest, as well as some experience, please email, or call me at 1-647-439-5076 in Toronto, Canada".

I thank you in advance.
